Once you delete a resource, you cannot undelete it. To temporarily disengage a monitor, you might consider disabling an Enabled resource option rather than deleting it.

You cannot delete the OpenEdge Management-provided CPU default resource or Memory default resource. Similarly, you cannot delete or rename Default_Action, Default_Clear_Action, or Default_Mail_Action. For details about deleting database resource monitors, see Manage the OpenEdge Database with OpenEdge Management. For details about deleting WebSpeed broker, AppServer broker, or NameServer resource monitors, see Manage Servers, Data Servers, Messengers, and Adapters with OpenEdge Management.

To delete other resource monitors:

  1. Click Resources > Go to Resources in the OpenEdge Management console menu.
All resources managed by your console appear in the grid frame.
  2. Filter or search for, and select the system, network, or file resource.
The resource's summary data, which includes properties, monitoring plans, and rule definitions, appears on the detail page.
  3. Click Delete and then click Yes in the confirmation dialog box to confirm deletion.
A message appears informing you that the resource has been deleted.
