When you import an ABL WebApp project from an earlier OpenEdge version into the current version of Progress Developer Studio, the Spring Security files are upgraded automatically. The Warning dialog box appears, prompting you to confirm the migration of the imported project to the current OpenEdge version.

To proceed with the migration, click OK.

If the upgrade fails, or you need to upgrade the files manually, perform the following steps:

  1. Right-click the ABL WebApp project and select Progress OpenEdge > Migrate Spring Security Files. The Migrate Spring Security Files dialog box appears.
    Note: The dialog box also opens when you open an older workspace or import an older project into the latest workspace that contains ABL WebApp projects.
  2. Click OK.
    Note: If you click Cancel, repeat the previous step later to upgrade.
    The Spring Security files in the current WEB-INF are moved to a newly created backup folder. The migrated Spring Security files are placed in the WEB-INF folder.
