Migrating Views to OpenAccess SDK 8.1 and later

Implementation of views has been modified in OpenAccess SDK 8.1. Therefore, If you are using OpenAccess SDK 7.2 or earlier versions, you need to regenerate the views in OpenAccess SDK 8.1 and later versions.

Note: It is assumed that you have the old view.dat file.

The following sections describe how to migrate old views to OpenAccess SDK 9.0 using OAViewgen, which is a standalone tool.

You can use the OAViewgen tool present at C:\\Program Files\\Progress\\DataDirect\\oaserver90\\ip\\bin to extract view definitions from the view.dat file.
