Note: The ADO and ADO.NET clients are currently available only in OpenAccess SDK 8.1. However, they are compatible with the OpenAccess SDK 9.0 server.

The Setup program creates and installs the data provider in the installation directory, by default:

C:\Program Files\Progress\DataDirect\oaadonet90

Note: The ADO.NET data provider is automatically installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC).

When you install the ADO.NET Client, HTML-based online help for developing ADO.NET applications is installed.
