REST API

Some virtual folder operations do not extend to the REST API.

Workaround:

For full parity, use the WebUI or MOVEit Automation.

Key Rotation

If disk capacity is less than the largest file in your file store and you run key rotation, your key rotation process will fail to convert that file.

Outlook Add-In

If Internet Explorer is configured with Enhanced Security Configuration (ESC) and you run MOVEit Add-in for Microsoft Outlook, the add-in pane fails to load. For example, this issue might occur if you run MOVEit Add-in for Microsoft Outlook with older versions of Windows that still include Internet Explorer. (Note that Windows Server enables IE ESC by default.)

Workaround:

Run the MOVEit Add-in for Microsoft Outlook from a machine that does not bundle Internet Explorer, such as a non-server version, or add the resource needed by MOVEit Add-in for Microsoft Outlook to launch as a trusted site. You can also disable IE ESC.

57441 Client Cert If an SSL Client Certificate is used to authenticate against Transfer on Windows Server 2022 (or later), and the client uses TLS 1.3, IIS error 403.7 returns. This occurs in cases where the client connection defaults to TLS 1.3 before the Client Cert can be used.

Workaround:

Firefox: Enable post-handshake authentication in browser.

Edge/Chrome: Disable TLS 1.3.

74291 Mobile APP, Android Newest version of Android SDK not yet supported.

Workaround:

WebUI (browser-based) supported for Android devices.

85579 Server/WebApp For fresh installs or backup and migration to a fresh install, deployments that use a UNC path for the file store might fail to start up the Web Service.

Workaround:

Include the server name when you enter the username associated with the shared folder, here is the expected syntax: <Server-name>\<username>. For example, FileNode01\filestoreuser

91675 Server/HTTPS
Note: This Known Issue (91675) was fixed and applied to the 2025.0.1 Service Pack. See Fixed Issues in 2025.0.1 for details.
Uploads through MOVEitISAPI with SHA-1 integrity checks are logged as SHA-512 integrity checks
91587 SFTP/FTP Imported certificates require private key permissions for new service accounts (MOVEitDMZFTP, MOVEitSftpServer). (FTP and SFTP services now run under a non-administrator service account.)

To import the certificate on the MOVEit Transfer machine:

  1. Run Windows Server Certificate Manager (certlm.msc)
  2. Right click the certificate and select All Tasks > Manage Private Keys...
  3. Add the service accounts and with full permissions:
    • NT Service\MOVEitDMZFTP
    • NT Service\MOVEit\SftpServer
N/A Outlook Add-in "Remember Me" functionality does not work with the default settings due to recent changes by Microsoft O365.

Workaround

To restore this functionality, administrators must request an exception through Microsoft Support to temporarily re-enable legacy tokens, as outlined in the Microsoft documentation (see the Link to Microsoft Learn knowledge base article).

The MOVEit Transfer team is actively working on migrating the add-in to align with Microsoft’s updated authentication model.
