Using the Command Line
You can use the command line from the command prompt to run the WS_FTP interface.
When you use the command line, you are actually running a subset of the functionality of the WS_FTP interface. Using the command line, you can:
- Upload and download files
- Specify ASCII or binary transfer mode
- Convert file names to lowercase when uploading
- Set up pre-scheduled transfers
- Create batch files that will handle multiple commands
- Use post transfer actions to delete, rename, or move source files after the transfer has completed
Note: Though some command lines in this chapter may wrap across multiple lines, all command lines should be entered on one line.
