jFlow works with flow start attributes in a different way than traditional flow vendors. The original timestamp of the first packet is preserved even when the flow is exported because of active timeout expiration.

Flowmon 13 implements a jFlow time parsing mechanism aligned with Flowmon's aggregation and analysis format, ensuring accurate duration and proper visualization. Timestamp adjustment depends on whether the flow ended because of an active timeout or another reason, ensuring accurate flow duration calculations.
