The tasks associated with upgrading your development environment to the current release of OpenEdge include:

  • Upgrading the Spring Security files that are contained in ABL WebApp projects that you have imported into the current version of Progress Developer Studio. Note also that the means by which domains are used to seal and validate client-principal objects has also been updated in OpenEdge 12.
  • Updating the build.xml file that is used to package an ABL web application ANT project.
  • Upgrading your ABL Service projects that are created in Progress Developer Studio, and creating a new PAS for OpenEdge Release 12 instance.
