This topic discusses the impact of Dynamic Data Masking (DDM) on the behavior of SQL constructs.

While returning and exporting field data to an external application, the OpenEdge SQL engine utilizes the mask configurations defined by the DDM administrator and applies it over DDM-configured fields. For internal processing, the SQL engine uses the unmasked value of the field.
