This update package is intended for Flowmon customers who purchased Flowmon APM for their Flowmon appliance. This package installs or updates Flowmon APM on your Flowmon Probe or Flowmon Virtual Appliance with the Probe feature.

Compatibility

This package is compatible with Flowmon version 13.1.0 or higher.

Installation

For the automatic package download:

  1. Log in to the Configuration Center on your Flowmon appliance.
  2. Select the Versions tab.
  3. Click Update the Package List.
  4. If the APM update package is available, Application Performance Monitoring appears in the list.
  5. Click Install for the Application Performance Monitoring package.
  6. Wait until a notification indicates that the update was successful.

Or, for the manual package download from the Progress Community Portal:

  1. Download the package from the support portal. Do NOT unpack it.
  2. Log in to the Configuration Center on your Flowmon appliance.
  3. Select the Versions tab.
  4. Click Import Package and select the update file you downloaded in step 1.
  5. Wait until a notification is displayed informing you that the update was successful.

  • The underlying PHP runtime, together with the Nette Framework and jQuery library used by APM, has been updated to be compatible with Flowmon 13.1.0.

- Probe Configuring and subsequently removing a VLAN filter on a server caused repeated "vlan member in a filter is not supported" errors to be logged. VLAN filter handling has been corrected so no errors are logged when adding or removing a VLAN filter.
- Maintenance The APM database maintenance script failed on every run with the error "psql: Argument list too long". The maintenance script was fixed to avoid exceeding the argument list length limit.
- Probe APM / APM Probe plugins could not be started or stopped from the GUI due to a missing sudo rule. The missing sudo rule for the start_stop script was added, allowing the plugins to be started and stopped correctly.
