Data feeds are the flow data that will be processed by the ADS. Data feeds are bound to the profiles created in the Flowmon Monitoring Center (FMC). To process all data in the ADS you can use the default data feed that uses the “All sources” profile as defined in the FMC. If you want to process only part of the flow data in ADS, create a corresponding profile in the FMC. Data feeds can be customized by going to Settings > Processing > Data Feeds. For each data feed:

  1. Enter a unique name for the data feed.
  2. Select the profile (defined in FMC) and the appropriate channels to use as input.
  3. After saving the new data feed, set it as active to begin processing flow data.

Assigning data feeds to detection methods

Each data feed must be assigned to detection methods. You can do this in two ways:

  • Assign all methods at once through Settings > Processing > Data Feeds
  • Assign methods individually through Settings > Processing > Methods
