Progress Application Server for OpenEdge supports the following SAML security flows.
  • SP-initiated flow, or service provider initiated flow.
  • IdP-initiated flow, or identity provider Initiated flow.
  • Header-based flow.
Progress recommends using an SP-initiated flows as it is the most secure flow and removes the need for a node.js client application.
