Client context management mechanisms identify and maintain context for a single user across all ABL sessions of a multi-tier application running in session-free or session-managed operating mode.

ABL supports different mechanisms to do this that work depending on the application session model (session-free or session-managed). This includes a client context identifier (ID) that you can transport, along with a client-principal object, across the sessions of an application server application in order to identify and restore the user's current context, regardless of the application session model.
