OpenEdge 11.7.x does not include the secprop utility that the Pro2 installer uses to automatically configure PASOE Spring Security FORM authentication. If you install Pro2 6.5.3 on OpenEdge 11.7.x, you must manually update the oeablSecurity.properties before form-based login will work.

To configure PASOE Spring Security FORM authentication manually:
  1. Backup the existing <PASOE_instance>\webapps\pro2\WEB-INF\oeablSecurity.properties file.
  2. Open the following file in a text editor: <PASOE_instance>\webapps\pro2\WEB-INF\oeablSecurity.properties
  3. Set the values of properties as follows:

client.login.form.loginPage=/static/auth/login.html
client.login.form.loginProcessingURL=/static/auth/j_spring_security_check

  4. Save the file.
  5. Restart the PAS for OpenEdge instance.
Note: This manual step is required only for OpenEdge 11.7.x. Later supported OpenEdge versions configure these properties automatically during Pro2 installation. If these values are not set on OpenEdge 11.7.x, form-based login may fail with an HTTP 403 Forbidden error.
