Once a NameServer is enabled, OpenEdge Management creates a NameServer log file monitor, using several default values, for that NameServer resource. Of the default NameServer log file monitor properties, you can modify only the description. However, you have several options regarding the Search Criteria you can use for a NameServer log file monitor. See Customizing a NameServer log file monitor for more details.

The default values are set as follows:

  • The NameServer default log file monitor is enabled and disabled along with the NameServer instance.
  • The Bookmark is set to Last Line, and it is unique.
  • The On First Poll property is set to Search From End.
