In order to access .NET objects, OpenEdge requires .NET Framework 4.8 to be installed on your system. (The OpenEdge installation automatically installs the .NET Framework 4.8, if needed.) Otherwise, OpenEdge supports all ABL application development using .NET objects entirely with OpenEdge tools, especially using Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge.
