The page in the WebUI that displays after you sign on depends on what initiated your sign-on. When you sign on using the link emailed in a package or shared file notification, the WebUI displays the information shared with you, either a shared folder (file notifications) or your InBox (package notification).

Packages are secure email messages (and more) that:

  • Are stored in MOVEit Transfer mailboxes.
  • Contain a message body (memo) and attachments (optional).
  • Can request a return-response (with an attachment).
  • Are sent to specific people or groups within a policy-configured organization.
  • Are great ways to share information and comply with data security standards (such as HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, and more).

Shared Folders are secure content containers that can trigger notifications and:

  • Provide entry ("incoming work") and exit ("handoff") points for team workflows.
  • Enable secure collaboration with a team or partner.
  • Notify sharers when new or modified content actions occur.
  • Are great ways to share information and comply with data security standards (such as HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, and more).

Package View

When another MOVEit Transfer user sends you a package directly, you begin with package view after sign-on.

If the organization's administrator enabled it, you can also:

  • Access the shared mailboxes of other MOVEit Transfer users or groups.
  • Reply to a package and send additional attachments.
  • Access the package n times or for a specified time period.
Tip: Files are sent as package attachments are stored and encrypted at rest and in transit at the MOVEit Transfer server.

Mailbox View

The Mailbox view shows an overview of all of your mailboxes, including your Inbox, Sent, and Trash mailboxes and the number of packages each mailbox contains. You might also have Drafts and Templates mailboxes, depending on your organization's settings.

Mailboxes that contain new packages display in bold. Typical fields and features of My Mailboxes view include:

  • Send Package. Click to open a page where you create a new package and send it. For more information, see Send Packages.
  • Request Files. Send a secure message that requests a secure message with files (also known as "Request a Package").
  • Add Mail Folder. Add a folder to your mailbox structure.
  • View Package. Click any mailbox to view its packages (draft, sent, received, or template, and so on.)

Typical Fields and Features of Mailbox View

Top Banner

The top of every screen contains organizational branding and information about your account. Depending on how your organization is configured, the top banner contains the following items:

  • Skip Repetitive Navigation Link - An optional link that allows users who use screen reader software to skip past the common top and side links and access page content.
  • Identity Message - Signed onto [Organization Name] as [Full Name] message. If your username is different than your full name, the username is displayed in parenthesis.
  • My Account - Depending on your setup, a link to your account page might display. Click on this link to view your user expiration details, change your password, change the language, and edit your package delivery options.
