Connect to MOVEit Transfer!

If this is the first time you use the Add-in, you need to connect to a server and enter the proper credentials.

  1. Connect to a MOVEit Transfer server. (If you don't know the server's hostname or address, ask your administrator.)
  2. Enter your username and password. (If your organization allows you to use Single Sign-on, you can find that link below the Sign On button).
  3. Click Remember Me to maintain the session credentials (Optional). You will be conveniently signed on to Add-in the next time you use Outlook).
Note: First time setup note for MOVEit Transfer administrators only: ensure that CORS settings are applied at the primary MOVEit Transfer server node. For more information, see the Settings tab on the primary server node

Send Secure Package

Click New Message to begin:

  1. On the toolbar, click the Create Secure Package button (or from the … menu if it’s not added on the toolbar).
  2. After successful sign-on, the MOVEit Transfer Add-in window displays secure package options (Secure Package is enabled by default).
  3. Feel confident when you see the MOVEit Transfer padlock banner in the message body. The banner indicates your package will be secure as you compose the message in the MOVEit Transfer Add-in. (It won’t be visible to others.)

Read Status

Wondering if your recipients have read your package yet?

  1. In Sent folder, select the message you want to open
  2. Click View Secure Package from the toolbar (or from the … menu if it’s not added on the toolbar).
  3. Find the Read Status banner at the top of the Read Package window.
  4. If you have more than one recipient, click Show me to see the status of each recipient.

Recall a Package

Notice that you sent a wrong file?

5. Click the Recall this package button next to the Read Status banner. A confirmation dialog displays to confirm.

View Secure Package

Do you have a MOVEit package waiting? View the secure package from your Outlook Inbox.

  1. Select an Outlook message in your Inbox sent using MOVEit (it will have a new package notification with a link).
  2. Click the View Secure Package button on the toolbar (or from the … menu if it’s not added on the toolbar)

A window will popup over the Inbox where you can read the secure package and download files

Download Files

  1. Click on a file to download it, or…
  2. Click Download All to download all as a single zipped file.
    Note: The file download location is determined by the browser settings.
