To stop MarkLogic Server, follow the steps for the corresponding platform:

Platform

Command

Microsoft Windows

Select Start > Programs > MarkLogic Server > Stop MarkLogic Server.

Note:

If you are using Windows, then right-click the Stop MarkLogic Server link in the Start menu and choose Run as Administrator, then choose to allow the action.

Red Hat Linux 7, 8

Enter this command:

sudo service MarkLogic stop

Red Hat Linux 9

Enter this command:

sudo systemctl stop MarkLogic

Mac OS X

Enter this command:

~/Library/StartupItems/MarkLogic stop
