Follow the steps below to set up a VPN connection on the AWS platform:
- Log in to the AWS console.
- Click VPC.
- Click Virtual Private Gateways.
- Click Create Virtual Private Gateway.
- Enter a Name tag.
- Click the Yes, Create button.
- Select the Virtual Private Gateway that was just created and click the Attach to VPC button.
- Select the relevant Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) from the list.
- Click Yes, Attach.
- Click Customer Gateways in the menu.
- Click the Create Customer Gateway button.
- Enter a recognizable Name tag for the LoadMaster.
- Enter the IP address of the LoadMaster.
- Click the Yes, Create button.
- Click VPN Connections in the menu.
- Click Create VPN Connection.
- Enter a recognizable Name tag for the VPN connection.
- In the Virtual Private Gateway drop-down list, select the Virtual Private Gateway which was created earlier.
- Select Static in the Routing Options section.
- Enter the LoadMaster-side network IP address followed by the CIDR in the Static IP Prefixes field.
- Click the Yes, Create button.
- Wait for the VPN status to become available.
- Click Download Configuration.
- Select Generic as the Vendor.
- Select Generic as the Platform.
- Select Vendor Agnostic as the Software.
- Click the Yes, Download button.
- Save the text file.
The text file contains the Pre-Shared Key which will be needed when configuring the LoadMaster side.
