Verify that your environment meets the requirements listed in the following table before you configure the driver for NTLM authentication.
Note: The domain controller must administer both the database server and the client.

Component Requirements
Database server The database server must be running one of the following databases:
  • Oracle 12c R1 (12.1) and R2 (12.2)
  • Oracle 11g R1 (11.1) and R2 (11.2)
  • Oracle 10g R1 (10.1) and R2 (10.2)
  • Oracle9i R1 (9.0.1) and R2 (9.2)
  • Oracle8i R2 (8.1.6) and R3 (8.1.7)
Domain controller Network authentication must be provided by NTLM on one of the following operating systems:
  • Windows Server 2003 or higher
  • Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 3 or higher
Client Java SE 8 or higher must be installed.
