Attribute
ConnectionLocale (CLOC)
Description
Specifies the locale that the ODBC client reports to the OpenAccess SDK server as the client's language for this connection.
If ConnectionLocale is not specified, the driver attempts to determine an appropriate locale automatically from the client environment. Set ConnectionLocale explicitly when you need control over the reported locale, for example when the automatically determined locale does not match the locale that your application needs for a connection. The attribute ConnectionLocale applies per connection. Different connections within the same application or process can specify different values.
Valid Values
string
where string is a locale identifier in language[_COUNTRY][_VARIANT] format (for example, es_ES, fr_FR, de_DE, ja_JP, pt_BR, or zh_CN).
Default
Determined from the client environment.
Data type
String
Example
The following connection string sets the connection locale to Spanish for Spain:
"Host=hal;Port=19998;ServerDataSource=Default;ConnectionLocale=es_ES;"
