Progress® DataDirect® Hybrid Data Pipeline supports ODBC, JDBC, and OData connectivity to a broad range of data stores. In addition to supporting connectivity to over twenty relational and non-relational database management systems, Hybrid Data Pipeline supports connectivity to REST sources with a built-in Autonomous REST Connector. Moreover, third party connectors can be integrated with Hybrid Data Pipeline, expanding the range of sources to which the service can connect. Hybrid Data Pipeline also includes the On-Premises Connector that allows secure connections from the cloud to on-premises data sources without requiring a VPN or other gateway.
The Hybrid Data Pipeline on AWS Guide is for anyone who wants to deploy Hybrid Data Pipeline on AWS, connect to a data store, and evaluate product features. The guide shows how to prepare an AWS environment for a Hybrid Data Pipeline deployment, how to install the service on an EC2 instance, and how to create data sources. It also provides further guidance on connecting to on-premises data sources, exposing data sources as OData endpoints, and connecting to data sources with JDBC and ODBC.
The following high-level steps describe the process for getting Hybrid Data Pipeline up and running on AWS.
- Set up the AWS environment
- Install the Hybrid Data Pipeline service
- Open Hybrid Data Pipeline and create a data source
The following topics describe how to extend the Hybrid Data Pipeline service.
- Configure data sources for OData connectivity
- Connect to an on-premises data source
- Connect to a data source using the JDBC or ODBC driver
The deployment scenario described in this guide is a single-node deployment without a load balancer. For more information about common deployment scenarios, refer to Deployment scenarios in the Deployment Guide.
