Backup responsibility

Each tenant should configure and maintain a backup process for MarkLogic Server databases. Backup storage is provided as part of all plans. In addition, the MarkLogic Server configuration is backed up regularly.

Update external backup credentials

The Progress Data Cloud Operations Team sets credentials within each MarkLogic Server Service to allow it to access the external backup storage that Progress Data Cloud provides.

You need to update these credentials in one of these cases:

• These credentials become invalid.

• You changed them and now want to change them back.

• The Progress Data Cloud Operations Team changes them after your tenancy was set up.

To update these credentials:

1. From this MarkLogic Server Service instance's service card menu, choose Update External Backup Credentials. The Update External Storage Credentials form appears, showing the current configuration.

2. Click Update. The button changes to Updating. The menu closes.

You have successfully updated this service's external storage credentials.
