Use OpenEdge Management to create an instance

OpenEdge Management provides a sample PAS for OpenEdge instance named oepas1 with a default configuration. Each new PAS for OpenEdge
instance created with OpenEdge Management uses the default configuration. You can edit the PAS
for OpenEdge configuration properties to meet your configuration requirements.
To run OpenEdge Management in a production environment locally, you must have
the OpenEdge Manager and Tomcat Manager web applications deployed on your PAS for OpenEdge
instance.

be created remotely. For more information, see Introducing OpenEdge Explorer and OpenEdge Management
in Introduction to OpenEdge Management.
To create a PAS for OpenEdge instance using OpenEdge Management, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to .
- Specify the following OpenEdge configuration properties:
Property Description Instance Name A name for the PAS for OpenEdge instance. This property is mandatory. Instance name is case-sensitive. It can include any character except periods (.) or square brackets ([ ]). The name must be unique among all configured PAS for OpenEdge names. HTTP Port An unused port number associated with the PAS for OpenEdge HTTP. By default, this is set to 8810. HTTPS Port An unused port number associated with the PAS for OpenEdge HTTPS. By default, this is set to 8811. Shutdown Port An unused port number for shutdown. If you are creating a PAS for OpenEdge instance on a Windows machine, this property is mandatory. - Click Create.
The new PAS for OpenEdge instance is listed with other resource instances on the Resources page in OpenEdge Management.
