Use the Advanced Options dialog to set advanced options by configuring the timeout and number of retries for the monitor.

Configure advanced options using the following boxes:

  • Timeout (seconds). Type the amount of time (in seconds) you want to attempt collecting data on a device.
  • Number of Retries. Type the number of times you want to attempt collecting data, when the device does not respond.
  • Use in Rescan. Select this option to have the monitor appear in the Active Monitor list on the Device Properties dialog. adds the monitor type to the device during a rescan, which is launched using the Rescan button on the Device Properties dialog, if the protocol or service is active on the device.

Click OK.
