Appending files (WS_FTP Professional)

You can select a file on the source system and transfer the file to the destination system, appending the file to a destination file. (The source system is where the file is coming from.)

Note: Append mode is ignored when selecting compress or PGP file transfers.

To append files using Append File Mode:

  1. Select Connections > Site Manager to open the Site Manager.
  2. Select a site and click Connect.
  3. Select Tools > Append File Mode. At the bottom of the remote site’s file list, the Append Mode icon appears.
  4. Select the file transfer. You are prompted for the destination file name.
    Note: You can append only one file at a time, so select one file to transfer.
  5. Enter the file name of the destination file (the file to which the transferred files are appended).

The selected file is transferred and appended to the destination file. If you open the destination file, you will see the appended file.
