WhatsUp Gold Life Cycle

The WhatsUp Gold Product Life Cycle presents a series of milestones and activities that determine the distinct phases of a product release's life cycle from General Availability (GA) to retirement. The following guide helps you understand the distinct stages of the WhatsUp Gold release life cycle to assist with planning upgrades.

Product Release Latest Product Update Life Cycle Phases
Active Retired
26.0 26.0.0 2026-Apr Next-GA

(Next-GA) Actual calendar date will be substituted when the next release date is announced.

Note: The Active date is the date when the release (for example, 21.0) was made generally available. There may be any number of subsequent cumulative updates issued for a release (for example, 21.0.3), but these updates do not affect the Active or Retirement dates of product releases. Since updates are cumulative, they are immediately retired upon availability of a newer update. For example, the 21.0.2 update was retired when the 21.0.3 update became available.

End-of-Sale (EoS) Offerings

As WhatsUp Gold evolves, certain editions, add‑ons, and license types are formally designated as End‑of‑Sale (EoS). An EoS designation means the offering is no longer available for new purchase as of the published EoS date and is not eligible for support and maintenance renewal at the next anniversary. The official list of EoS offerings, their effective dates, and the supported replacement offerings are maintained on the WhatsUp Gold Life Cycle page, which serves as the authoritative source of record. Customers holding an EoS offering are expected to plan and execute a transition to an identified replacement offering in accordance with the lifecycle guidance and timelines defined in this policy.
