“return evidence” will, when switched on, return the evidence text from the document that was matched on, and not the preferred label of the concept fact.
For example: if you had lots of alternative labels for your concept fact, usually you would want those to be normalised back to the concept’s preferred label; however, sometimes you do what the actual evidence text that was matched on - and for that, you can switch on “return evidence”.
